This past Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated their unlikely win against the seemingly undefeatable New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   This was their first win in Super Bowl history. The Eagles were led by backup quarterback Nick Foles who ended up being the hero for their 2017 season after Carson Wentz tore his ACL in week 17.  Foles was awarded MVP of the game after throwing for 373 yards, 3 touchdowns and one interception.  He even scored one of the touchdowns himself when Trey Burton threw him a pass on fourth down.  Tom Brady had attempted a similar play earlier in the game, but was unable to catch the ball.

After the game ended the city of Philadelphia went crazy and they got busy planning a parade to celebrate the gallant victory over the Patriots. Schools were closed, people partied all night, and even the police manning the scene threw passes to the enthusiastic spectators.

Unfortunately for Foles, known as Saint Nick in Philly, his future is uncertain.  Wentz is the quarterback of the team and we will have to see where Foles ends up.  A great victory for the Philadelphia Eagles.
