Prospect- In March there was a town meeting introducing Pennies for Patients to grades 3-5 and K-2. Pennies for Patients is a fund raising campaign to raise money for blood cancers. The whole school is donating money for this great cause. When you contribute, you write your name on a blood drop. You put your blood drop near 3K there on the “Hall of Hereos” which now, has too many names to count. Mrs.Zwieg the leader of the Prospect Hill hero squad has lots to say about pennies for patients. “I think pennies for patients is so important for many reasons. First, it teaches kids to help others in need. Second, I choose the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) because it doesn’t just help kids with leukemia it helps with all different types of cancer. I’m very proud of Prospect Hill and how much money they raise every year. My son Sam had cancer and that drives me to help others with cancer.”

Make sure to help kids with cancer by donating any loose change from looking in the couch cushions to bake sales whoever wins gets do have a ice cream party. Make sure to donate and stay sharp hero squad. The drive ends Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
