On Friday, November 10, 2017 Pelham Girl Scout Troop 1571 ventured through Pelham giving goodies to veterans to thank them them for all their service. We interviewed a few of the girl scouts to see what they thought of this tradition. Even though it was 30 degrees out, Mia Ritossa one of the girl scouts, still thought that it was a very special experience for the girls. According to Mia, a fourth grader at Prospect, ” It was a special moment for the whole troop. I felt honored to meet all the veterans.” Some of the things we put in our goodie bags were cookies, brownies, and other baked goods. We were so excited to see the expression on their faces when they got these wonderful treats. The girl scouts have been doing this for many years now and hope to continue this extremely special tradition and make it an annual event.
